Displacement

What is engine displacement in a car?

Engine displacement is a measurement of the total volume of all of an engine’s cylinders, usually written in cubic centimetres (cc), or litres. The larger this volume is, the more air and fuel a piston can move. What that means is, the bigger the volume, the more powerful the engine.
