Lane-keeping assist (LKA)

What is lane-keeping assist?

Lane-keeping assist (LKA) works alongside lane departure warning (LDW) technology to keep a car within a marked lane on the road. If the LDW senses that the car is straying out of the lane (and if the indicator hasn’t been switched on), it will then automatically correct the driver error. The driver will feel the wheel pulling in the right direction to keep the car in the lane. These systems, along with adaptive cruise control, are some of the building blocks for autonomous cars of the future.
