Paddleshift

What is a paddleshift in a car?

Using paddleshift is a nifty way that drivers of automatic cars can manually select gears using paddles placed behind the steering wheel. In most cases, the paddle on the left is used to change down a gear, while the one on the right is used to change up (but check your handbook to be sure).
